Wishful thinking...
$4,500 is wishful thinking, but even if 1/4 the funding could be raised for the top surgery that would be AMAZING.
Many people don't understand what trans is, but do you really have to understand? Is it really our place to question how someone feels about themselves, how someone identifies themselves when it has nothing to do with us and has no ill effects on our own lives?? I can only hope that all of the people in his life can just love him as he is and as he identifies and support him in this surgery that he needs to feel better about himself!
This page is called Surprise! Top Surgery Fund because the person who wants top surgery knows nothing about it. I'm not going to give his name because I don't want him to find out about this (obviously if you know me/e-mail me I will let you know who it's for!).
This person has been thinking about transitioning for over 10 years and finally came out as female-to-male trans within the past two years. He has since been able to change his name and gender marker and participates in hormone therapy but coming up with funds for top surgery has been difficult.
